This is an update for Cora SeQuence v8.6, which includes a fix for the issue detailed below.
Resolved issue
When you used the Split function to set up group or user expressions for task/message recipients, you got this error message: "Expression of type 'GroupView' expected," and could not continue setting up the workflow.
Resolution: Validation was removed and the issue was fixed to allow the use of split function.
Update steps
Updating from v8.6.1
- Back up your Cora SeQuence database.
- Back up the following DLLs:
PNMsoft.Sequence.Design.dll
PNMsoft.Sequence.Studio.dll
- Download the ZIP file, and extract it.
- Open the DB Scripts folder, and run the
PatchSynchronization_Data.sql
script on your Cora SeQuence database. - Run IISRESET.
- Make sure the following files and folders are in the same level on the server.
- Engine
SequencePatch.xml
SequencePatcher.ps1
- Run
SequencePatcher.ps1
file as Administrator on the Cora SeQuence Flowtime and Administration servers as follows:- Right click
SequencePatcher.ps1
, and then select Run with PowerShell. - Press any key to run as administrator.
- Right click
- Run IISRESET for the change to take effect.
Rollback steps (in case of failure)
- Restore the Cora SeQuence database to previous state.
- Restore the backed up DLLs files.
NOTE: If you are running a Cora SeQuence version earlier than v8.6.1.1, you need to install v8.6.1 before you install v8.6.0.1.
