Underwriting Manager: A single digital workplace

New features

  • Customization per LoB: Different LoBs need different functionalities. This release focuses on allowing easy customization to differentiate between the LoBs. Each LoB includes a unique set of fields named LOB Fields.
    You get two LoBs out-of-the-box:
    • Product Liability: Includes a mechanism that automatically extracts data from the incoming email and creates a new case.
    • Commercial Property: Includes an example to implement LoB that doesn’t have an extraction model. With the Commercial Property LoB, you can create cases manually.
      For details, see this article.
  • Sanction check automation with D&B services: A new automated step Sanction Check added to the submission intake process integrates with D&B services in order to get information on the beneficial owners of the insured entity  and understand whether there is sanctions on them or not. A full audit trail is included.
  • Integration with ACORD TranscriberTM service: Cora Underwriting Manager integrates with ACORD TranscriberTM service that enables extraction of data from the ACORD forms.
  • Integration with Azure Maps: The Geo-code and Insured Verification functionalities are now integrated with Azure Services.
  • Support for creating new submission requests via API: Cora Underwriting Manager has an API layer for creating submission requests from different sources.
  • Document generation automation with 3rd-party integration: Cora Underwriting Manager can connect with two 3rd-party document generation providers: XpertDoc and Inkit
An example of automatic document generation can be found in the Notify UW step in the Submission intake flow process.
For more details on the Cora Underwriting Manager features, see this article.
  • Self-service analytics and new portfolio management dashboard: With the new reporting model built with an ETL procedure, you can create your own reports and analyze data with out-of-the-box Microsoft Power BI capabilities. These dashboards provide information about the UW portfolio, brokers, and insured accounts performance.
You can customize all Microsoft Power BI dashboards to match specific needs.
